Pneumatic toggle presses

Pneumatic toggle presses

Pneumatic toggle presses: APK*L and VKL series
The optimum transmission ratio of the toggle provides high forces at the stroke end and ensures a minor air consumption.
Due to the low power consumption, pneumatic toggle presses made by ips are a cost-effective production equipment, not only with regard to the purchase but also in the long run.
All pneumatic toggle presses are available with ips standard control units of the MPS-1 type or with control units in accordance with customer specifications.

   Pneumatic XL toggle presses
Pneumatic toggle presses: XL-APK*L and XL-VKL series

Presses with XL throat depth range are designed to treat big and bulky workpieces. The press frame consists of a solid welded structure which can be adapted according to customer requirements.
Pneumatic XL toggle presses are available with ips standard control units of the MPS-1 type or with control units in accordance with customer specifications.

Other quality characteristics:

  • Pressure point preset in the factory
  • Angular gear for easy height adjustment of the press head
  • A lateral measuring tape enables quick reproduction of settings in case of tool changes
  • Virtually maintenance-free double-action cylinders
  • Low noise level: below 75 dB

Manually assisted pneumatic toggle presses with square ram
Manually assisted toggle presses are used if, due to the specific workpiece characteristics, it is impossible to use both hands for a two-hand control at the beginning while requiring, nevertheless, high pressure at the end of the working stroke.
In these cases, NP manually assisted pneumatic toggle presses ensure safe working: The ram is moved downwards to the pressure position of the stroke using the hand lever and the workpiece is then held by manual lever force.
A sensor records this position. At the same time, the workpiece can be released and a push button can be pressed with the other hand, activating the power stroke.
The power stroke can only be activated if both hands are used. If e.g. the hand lever is released, the ram is lifted by a safety mechanism and, thus, the release or the power stroke in the control unit is cancelled.
The length of the pneumatic power stroke of the NP manually assisted pneumatic toggle presses and hence the BDC position can be precisely and continuously adjusted to a stroke length from 0 mm to 6 mm by means of standard fine adjustment.
Due to the special transmission mechanism, the power stroke is constantly available over the whole length set for the power stroke.
